Experience the Beauty of Costa Rica
A Cultural Exchange Among Artists
August 15 - 24, 2009
This trip provides you with opportunities to paint, draw and photograph the beautiful landscapes of Costa Rica as well as to meet Costa Rican artists and visit exhibits of Costa Rican Art.
On our 10 day trip, we will be visiting the Volcano mountainous area of Arenal, the Cloud and Rain Forest areas of the Sarapiqui River Basin, and the beach areas of the Caribbean Coast, as well as art studio tours, art galleries and art museums in San Jose.
The group will be accompanied by local Ithaca artist Miri Amihai of the Ink Shop Printmaking Center / Olive Branch Press, State of the Art Gallery, and Greater Ithaca Art Trail. For some time, Miri has been traveling and meeting Costa Rican artists: printmakers, painters, sculptors and wildlife photographers.
